A standardized benchmark framework for controlled environment agriculture. Each of the 10 operational domains is scored 1-10. The composite R-Score is weighted by financial impact, giving owners, investors, and lenders a single number that reflects operational reality.

The R-Score is a composite benchmark score for cultivation operations. It measures operational performance across 10 domains, weighted by their financial impact on facility output.

A score of 10 represents the performance ceiling. What a perfectly executed facility looks like on every domain. A score of 1 means systemic failure. Most commercial facilities score between 4.2 and 6.8.

The R-Score is predictive of operational direction. Not a guarantee of yield or profit. It identifies where the gaps are and quantifies what each point is worth in dollars per year.

Before you fix the water, the lights, or the nutrients, you fix the people dynamic. The machine has to run regardless of who's in the room. Rule 01 is first among equals because every other rule is executed by people.
Rule 02
Facility Design & Equipment Selection
The most permanent decisions you'll make. You can retrain people, upgrade water treatment, change growing media. But you cannot easily move walls, re-engineer HVAC systems, or relocate your pump room once construction is complete.
Rule 03
Water Treatment & Fertigation
The lifeblood and delivery system for plant nutrition. Control the water, control the crop. Training failures here hit hardest and compound into every downstream rule.

Medium & Nutrients
The foundation that defines how you grow and manage root development and nutrient uptake. One of the critical factors in your OpEx costs. The Big 4 close here.
